Texas might not be a top summer destination (from Memorial Day until Labor Day, temperatures hover in the 90-degree Fahrenheit range), but it’s an ideal location for travelers who are looking for a luxurious getaway that won’t break the bank. To help visitors keep their cool in the Texas heat, Four Seasons properties in Austin, Dallas and Houston have joined together to offer the Big Chill package.
Through Aug, 26, when guests book a two-night minimum weekend stay, the first night will be booked with the hotel’s best-available rate; the second night will be booked at the “mercury rate,” based on the day’s temperature high. With the Big Chill package, clients will likely be paying about $100 or less for the second night. Depending on the location, each hotel will also provide refreshing perks to help beat the heat such as chilled towels, gel eye-masks and homemade ice cream.
