Webinar Training Programs Grow

Jul 11, 2008

Two travel organizations recently boosted their virtual training options for agents, due to growing demand and success of the programs.

The Network of Entrepreneurs Selling Travel (NEST) is offering a variety of virtual training options for home-based agents, in conjunction with the group’s preferred suppliers. The one-hour webinars are offered two or three times a week over a secure server and are designed to boost agents’ revenue potential.

“Our e-learning program has been a tremendous success with NEST agents,” said Kathryn Mazza-Burney, the group’s president. “In fact, we generally fill all of the available communications lines during our virtual trainings.” Dates for the remaining trainings in July include July 22 (Globus), July 23 (Travel Impressions), July 24 (Norwegian Cruise Line) and July 30 (Variety Cruises).

Meanwhile, United Vacations has released a line-up of Virtual U product training sessions available for travel agents in VAX VacationAccess. Running July through November, the sessions include destination and hotel training. Sessions are free and available 24/7. Invitations will be e-mailed throughout the summer as sessions become available. The tentative lineup includes The Best of Canada and The Walt Disney World Resort in August; Western Canada and Harrah’s Entertainment sites in September; MGM Mirage resorts and Outrigger Hotels & Resorts Hawaii in October; and Eastern Canada in November.
