There’s more to Canyons Resort in Park City, Utah, than great skiing and snowboarding. This summer, the resort is offering a number of off-season activities including mountain biking, ziplining, boating, hiking, miniature golf, dining and more.
This month, Canyons introduced an all-new bike park located mid-mountain. In addition to a Skills Park area, the new mountain bike park will feature three different skill-level trails and be serviced by the High Meadow lift. The trails are designed to complement the existing network of cross-country trails throughout the resort. Information and lift tickets are available at Canyon Mountain Sports in the Resort Village.
Located just a brief walk from the mountain bike park is the 20 million-gallon reservoir that has been transformed into a high Alpine gathering area. Guests will be able to rent paddle boats or simply relax with a picnic lunch and soak in the mountain scenery.
A zipline circuit, also new to Canyons this summer, is perfect for high-speed thrill-seekers. The zipline features two lines, one of which stretches more than 2,100-feet-long with a 10 percent grade.
The Resort Village area at Canyons has been transformed into a miniature golf course for the summer season. The 18-hole, mountain-themed course meanders throughout the Resort Village, which means parents can watch the game while dining alfresco at nearby restaurants. Restaurants featured at Canyons Resort include The Farm, for locally sourced seasonal cuisine, The Restaurant at Waldorf Astoria Park City, for fine dining, and Red Pine Lodge, for classic American cuisine.
