The eighth annual Deer Valley Music Festival (DVMF) will return to Park City, Utah, from July 16 through Aug. 13. This year’s lineup features Broadway and “Glee!” favorite, Idina Menzel, and Grammy nominee, Chris Botti. The Utah symphony will also pay tribute to the popular classic rock band, The Eagles.

On July 16, the series will open with the popular music of The Eagles, preformed by the Utah Symphony and conducted by Brent Havens. The performance will take place at the Deer Valley Snow Park Amphitheater, and tickets go on sale on March 21.

Grammy nominee, best-selling American jazz instrumentalist and versatile trumpeter Chris Botti has appealed to fans of multiple music genres for more than a decade. Botti will join the Utah Symphony on July 27 for a jazz-pop fusion performance.

Idina Menzel, who won a Tony for her performance of Elphaba in the musical, “Wicked,” performs for one night only, on July 30, with the Utah Symphony. With a diverse repertoire of classic pop and Broadway favorites (including hits from “Wicked” and “Rent”) as well as songs from her album “I Stand,” India Menzel will demonstrate why she is one of the great vocal performers of today. Keith Lockhart conducts.

Friday classical concerts and Saturday pops concerts will be held at the Deer Valley Snow Park Outdoor Amphitheater where audience members are invited to picnic under the stars after a day of shopping, hiking or golfing. Chamber concerts will be held on Wednesdays and Thursdays in the more intimate setting of Park City’s St. Mary’s Church or Temple Har Shalom.
