One of the newest resorts in Park City, Utah, Montage Deer Valley, has been awarded Silver Certification by the U.S. Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) for new construction. The LEED rating system has been established to encourage the construction and operation of more sustainable buildings. The first resort in Utah to be LEED certified, Montage Deer Valley is a mixed-use hotel and residential project and one of less than 100 LEED-certified hotels worldwide.
“Montage Deer Valley’s LEED certification demonstrates tremendous green building leadership,” said Rick Fedrizzi, president, CEO and founding chair of U.S. Green Building Council. “The urgency of [our] mission has challenged the industry to move faster and reach further than ever before, and Montage Deer Valley serves as a prime example of just how much we can accomplish.”
Montage Deer Valley offers all-season indoor and outdoor activities. During the winter, guests have ski-in, ski-out access to Deer Valley Resort, named the top ski resort in the U.S. by Ski magazine for four consecutive years. The resort features 154 deluxe guestrooms and more than 66 suites and private residences.
