To accommodate Utah’s record-breaking numbers of skiers and snowboarders, the Solitude Mountain Resort has announced plans for $7 million in lift upgrades for the coming winter season including two new high-speed chairlifts commencing from each base area at Solitude Village and Moonbeam Center.

“Our goal is to have our guests access the terrain they desire quickly and efficiently,” said David DeSeelhorst, vice president of operations.

The new high-speed quad, Moonbeam Express, will be the base’s third high-speed lift while Solitude Village’s existing Apex double lift will be replaced by a high-speed quad, providing access to the heart of the mountain.
