The Lady Alderbrook

The Alderbrook Resort and Spa, located on the shores of Washington’s Hood Canal, has added a new guest amenity: the Lady Alderbrook. Completely renovated since its debut in 2008, the 54-foot steel cruise boat offers guests opportunities for catered cocktail and dinner cruises, wedding receptions, meetings and other gatherings.

Along with an on-board galley, the Lady Alderbrook features space for up to 90 passengers, including an enclosed lower deck and sun deck. It can provide such audio-visual services as a flat-screen television, microphone and speakers, and it comes with tables, chairs, linens, tableware, stemware and a full movable bar. Pricing for Lady Alderbrook rentals starts at $500 per hour for a minimum of two hours, plus tax.

In addition to private cruises, Alderbrook offers twice-monthly sunset cocktail cruises to resort guests and the public during warm weather months. The two-hour excursions feature live music, cocktails and appetizers prepared by the Alderbrook Restaurant. Upcoming cruises are scheduled for Aug. 8 and 22. Tickets for the evening cocktail cruises -- which run from 8:30-10:30 p.m. -- cost $70 per person (guests must be 21 and over).

The Lady Alderbrook joins the resort’s list of amenities and special summer offerings, including the Summer Bliss package. Offered Sunday through Thursday, Summer Bliss starts at $159 per night and comes with 20 percent off food and drink at the Alderbrook Restaurant, 20 percent off spa services, a 30-minute kayak lesson, a morning fitness class (yoga, Pilates and light aerobics), a cocktail mixology class, late check-out and valet services.
