Clipper Vacations is offering reduced rates to active and retired U.S. or Canadian police, fire fighters, ambulance workers and paramedics and their families.

Now through June 30, 2010, the round-trip first responder fare on the Victoria Clipper between Seattle and Victoria, B.C., is $50 per person The special fare also extends to one adult guest or immediate family member. Overnight packages with accommodations and round-trip passage on the Clipper start at $103 per person. One child under 12 travels and stays free with each paying adult.

The Victoria Clipper departs several times daily from Pier 69 in Seattle. Passengers can enjoy breakfast, chat, play cards or just enjoy the scenery during the two-and-one-half-hour cruise.

Victoria's family-friendly activities and attractions include Beacon Hill Park and the petting zoo; kite-flying on the water’s edge along Dallas Road; the Victoria Bug Zoo; fish and chips at Red Fish, Blue Fish in the Inner Harbour; the oldest Chinatown in Canada; and the colorful vendors of Fan Tan Alley.

Clipper also features daily departures to the San Juan Islands from May 21-Sept. 6. For that trip, the special first responder fare is $56 including a two-and-one-half-hour whale and sea-life excursion.
