EMP presents the new Avatar: The Exhibition // © 2011 Experience Music Project
Based on the highest grossing film of all time, Avatar: The Exhibition opens at Seattle’s Experience Music Project (EMP) on June 4, 2011 and runs through Sept. 3, 2012.
Avatar: The Exhibition features authentic artifacts and props, such as the actual Armored Mobility Platform suit used in the combat scenes and the original hand-made models of the Na’vi characters and their wardrobes. Interactive displays, concept models and sketches from the film also explore the technologies used to create Pandora.
Developed in partnership by EMP, Twentieth Century Fox Consumer Products and James Cameron’s Lightstorm Entertainment, the exhibit will eventually travel to other major arts and cultural institutions in the U.S. and abroad.
Tickets are $15 per adult, $12 per youth (ages 5-17), students, military and seniors; and free for children under five.
