Salish Lodge and Spa

The Spa at Salish Lodge has introduced the Herb and Honey Scrub Bar, a signature experience that calls on herbs from the lodge’s organic garden and honey from its on-site apiary.

The interactive experience invites guests to work with a spa mixologist to choose from a variety of fresh herbs from the Salish garden, including chamomile, rosemary, lavender, basil, lemon verbena, thyme, sage and mint. The chosen herbs are blended with Salish honey, essential oils, salts or sugar scrubs, depending on the needs of each spa guest. The custom scrub is then used in a variety of spa body treatments, manicures and pedicures.

“In the past year the Salish honeybees have doubled production, allowing us to find even more ways to incorporate the Salish honey into the spa's treatment menus,” said Melanie Silver, director of rooms and spa at Salish Lodge and Spa. “With the addition of the organic garden this year, we are able to utilize the incredible benefits of fresh herbs as well.”

Custom scrubs from the Herb and Honey Scrub Bar start at $125 for 50 minutes. As a souvenir, each guest receives a jar of Salish Spa product and a recipe card to re-create the experience at home. Guests who prefer to forgo the custom option can choose from a variety of offerings that already incorporate local herbs and honey, with rates from $115-$125.

Salish Lodge and Spa is located 30 minutes east of downtown Seattle.
