Hotel Bellwether Promotes Ski and Dine Package

The Hotel Bellwether' Bay to Baker package is a winter getaway designed with active clients in mind

The Hotel Bellwether in Bellingham has taken the wraps off its Bay to Baker package, a winter getaway designed with active clients in mind. Guests booking the promotion get two adult lift tickets for one day of skiing or snowboarding at Mount Baker Ski Area, located 56 miles east of Bellingham. The package also includes dinner for two and a bottle of wine at the hotel's Harborside Bistro, and continental breakfast for two.

“This package combines two of Bellingham’s most wonderful assets for visitors: world-class winter recreation and waterfront dining at a top-notch restaurant,” said Hotel Bellwether general manager Michael Herzog. “Our hotel serves as a relaxing respite after a day of skiing at one of the region’s most acclaimed winter destinations.”

Mount Baker Ski Area, located 56 miles east of Bellingham, provides 1,000 acres of terrain, 38 marked trails, eight quads and two handle tows. The majority of the terrain is suitable for the intermediate skier, yet the mountain also offers areas for expert and beginner levels.

Chef Rob Pinksi of the Harborside Bistro serves up fresh Northwest-inspired menu items to be enjoyed while taking in the panoramic views of Bellingham Bay and neighboring San Juan Islands. A complete dinner menu is available on the hotel's Web site.

Available now through April 2010, the Bay to Baker package starts at $291 per night, snow conditions permitting.
