Kitsap Tours Announces Free Ferry Program

Kitsap Tours is covering the cost of the walk-on roundtrip ferry ride from Seattle to Bainbridge Island, where its tours begin and end.

During the off-season for tourism in the Northwest, Kitsap Tours wants to entice more locals to hop a ferry and take a tour of the Kitsap Peninsula. As an incentive, the company is covering the cost of the walk-on roundtrip ferry ride from Seattle to Bainbridge Island, where its tours begin and end.

Clients who book a tour and use the promotional code FreeFerry automatically discount the cost of the tour by the price of ferry fare.

The Free Ferry promotion applies to all of the company's expeditions, which take guests to the beautiful areas of Bainbridge Island, Suquamish, Poulsbo and Port Gamble. During the tour, visitors learn about the region's diversity, beauty, history, heritage and activities.

Kitsap Tours began offering its excursions on May 1, 2010. Originating at the Bainbridge Island ferry terminal -- a 35-minute ferry ride from downtown Seattle -- tours range from a seven-hour photography excursion to a three-hour tour of the Bloedel Reserve, a 150-acre estate garden. Transportation is via a 14-passenger mini-bus.
