Golf Week magazine has named Semiahmoo Resort's two championship golf courses -- Semiahmoo Golf and Country Club and Loomis Trail Golf Club -- among the top ten Places You Can Play in Washington State.
Semiahmoo is a 1,100-acre seaside golf resort destination two hours from Seattle and one hour from Vancouver, B.C.
In the recent announcement of state-by-state ratings, the Semiahmoo course came in fourth and Loomis Trail was ranked tenth.
In addition, Semiahmoo was recently named one of the Top 75 Golf Resorts in North America by Golf Digest for 2009 (ranking 55th).
In celebration of the recent awards, the resort is offering Escape for a Golf and Spa Getaway, with rates from $259. The package includes one round of golf, power cart for one, range balls, a $25 food and beverage voucher, a $100 spa voucher and overnight accommodations in Semiahmoo's 198-room hotel.
Semiahmoo is the only resort in Washington with 36 holes of high-caliber golf which is open to the public, along with a full complement of accommodations, spa, meeting space and other resort amenities.
Semiahmoo Resort general manager Jeff Kline said the awards underscore the resort's solid positioning as a local getaway with affordable value for guests traveling along the I-5 corridor and from Vancouver.
"We're proud to be the only full-service resort offering back-to-back top ten golf experiences in this state," said Kline. "Our resort guests and members know we continue to set high standards for ourselves in course conditioning, service and resort amenities."
