The Victoria Clipper's San Juan Island Excursions have been deemed a success, with over 98 percent of all passengers in July and August enjoying Orca whale watching. The trips will continue operating through the end of September, running on Saturdays and Sundays.

With ample salmon available, the whales have been active and giving our passengers a good show every day," said Victoria Clipper captain Jason Mihok.

The popular all-day Clipper whale watching tour starts in Seattle and takes clients through scenic Deception Pass en route to San Juan Island. From there, the two-and-one-half-hour Whale and Sealife Search begins. Whale sightings have occurred on nearly all trips this season, and all three pods are still in the area.

A knowledgeable naturalist is onboard to answer questions and educate passengers about the marine life in the area. All passengers alsoreceive a complimentary guidebook to the San Juans. After the Whale and Sealife Search, clients have two-and-one-half hours of free time to explore the town of Friday Harbor.

With reservations at least one day prior, the adult fare is $70 per person, with $55 fares available online. Children under 12 ride for free with a paying adult when booked at least one day prior.

Clipper Vacations also offers several overnight packages in the San Juan Islands that include the Whale and Sealife Search.
