Amangani Resort in Jackson Hole, Wyo., was rated the number one place to stay while skiing in North America by readers of Conde Nast Traveler in the magazine’s December 2009 issue.
Conde Nast Traveler readers from across the U.S. voted in the poll and weighed in by rating hotels’ rooms, service, dining and food, location, overall design, activities and facilities and rates. The Amangani received a score of 100 out of 100 for its rooms and also received the highest score of all listed resorts for dining and food, with a score of 96. Amangani's overall score of 96 made it the number-one ski hotel in the U.S. and Canada, according to readers.
The 40-suite Amangani resort clings to the western edge of East Gros Ventre Butte, some 7,000 feet above sea level and high above the town of Jackson Hole.
