Eco Tour Adventures, based in Jackson Hole, Wyo., offers eco-friendly and expertly led wildlife tours of Wyoming. Among the options are several season-specific options, including Yellowstone National Park tours offered in the spring and early fall as well as winter tours that focus on winter wildlife ecology and animal adaptations.
The Sun Rise Sun Set Eco Tour of Grand Teton National Park and Jackson Hole is offered year-round. On this tour, a personal guide picks up guests from their accommodations and takes them on a four-hour adventure onboard a four-wheel-drive vehicle. If desired, guests can take non-strenuous hikes. Among the animals commonly sighted during Grand Teton tours are moose, elk, bison, pronghorn antelope, mule deer, wolves, black bears, grizzly bears, bald eagles and trumpeter swans. The tour includes binoculars and spotting scopes, warm and cold beverages and healthy snacks that are organic, when possible.
The environmentally friendly company runs its vehicles on biodiesel and donates a portion of guest proceeds to the nonprofit of the guest's choice.
Groups for this tour are kept small, with a maximum of five guests on each tour so that each participant receives a window seat. If the participants are from the same group, the size can be increased to seven guests. This tour costs $125 per adult and $95 for children ages 10 and younger.
