Spot Wild Polar Bears in Canada
AdventureSmith Explorations’ Tundra Lodge Adventure will have clients coming face to face with polar bears in Churchill, Canada, known as the polar bear capital of the world. During the six- or seven-day tour, travelers will sleep in the Tundra Lodge, a custom rolling hotel. All-terrain Polar Rovers will be used on day trips, and guests will also participate in a dog-sledding excursion and listen to wildlife and cultural presentations. Departures will take place from mid-October to mid-November. The rate begins at $8,295 per person, based on double occupancy.
Stretch Out During a Rafting Trip in Utah
Holiday River Expeditions is offering several “journeys of personal discovery” for 2018, including the Wild Yoga Journey on the River with Rebecca Wildbear itinerary, which is a six-day, 84-mile rafting and yoga experience in Utah. During the trip, which takes place in June, clients will raft through Desolation Canyon on Utah’s Green River, traversing more than 60 whitewater rapids. They will stop to practice yoga and camp along the way. The tour will be led by Rebecca Wildbear, a wilderness guide and the creator of Wild Yoga. Clients must be at least 18 years old to attend this trip, and the rate for the six-day adventure begins at $1,200 per person.

Travelers heading to the high Arctic have two chances to book Poseidon Expedition’s 14-day Franz Josef Land Archipelago – Russian High Arctic cruise in 2019. The cruise will visit the Norwegian territory of Svalbard, followed by exploration of Franz Josef Land Archipelago. Highlights of the two-week voyage include possible sightings of bowhead whales, various Arctic seals and polar bears. Clients will also experience 24 hours of daylight as they view well-preserved historical sites. The rate varies depending on stateroom category and begins at $8,816. Departures will take place in August 2019. All guests will receive a branded Poseidon Expeditions parka.
Embark to Greenland With an Expert Photographer
Natural World Safaris has partnered with professional photographer Andrew James to offer a unique chance to explore the fjords of Greenland in summer 2018. During the weeklong trip, James will lead guests on an exploration of Greenland’s east coast. Highlights include seeing Scoresby Sund, the largest fjord system in the world; hiking across the area’s tundra in search of muskox and Artic fox; and interaction with the Inuit people in the settlement of Ittoqqortoormiit. Clients will take part in this Greenland safari onboard Freya, a small ship that sleeps up to 16 passengers. The price begins at $11,040 per person, based on double occupancy.
Rock Climb in Telluride
Adventurous travelers staying at The Hotel Telluride in Telluride, Colo., can book the property’s new three-night Ropes & Rungs summer package. During their stay, guests will participate in a guided via ferrata climb on an exposed ladder and cable system as they explore the Ophir Valley’s vertical territory during a full day of guided rock climbing. The only via ferrata in Colorado, this protected climbing route was originally designed for World War I troops preparing to traverse the Alps, and consists of a series of fixed rungs, steps and ladders anchored to the rock face. Additionally, clients will be able to enhance or practice their rock climbing skills with time at Ophir Wall, which lies within Ophir Valley. The package is available from June 1 to Sept. 30 and begins at $1,999 per person, based on double occupancy.
