Anantara Mui Ne Resort & Spa
This year will be a year of expansion for Anantara, starting with the company’s 17th property, the newly opened Anantara Mui Ne Resort & Spa in Vietnam. Built along Vietnam’s southeast coast, the resort was designed to capture the essence of beachside living combined with the indigenous appeals of the region’s various natural and cultural attractions.

Located 198 kilometers northeast of Ho Chi Minh City, Mui Ne is a quaint fishing village with many opportunities for relaxation or land and sea adventures. More active guests of Anantara Mui Ne can explore Southeast Asia’s largest sand dunes on jeep tours or on foot or can enjoy a variety of other activities including windsurfing, sailing and more. Ke Ga Light House is a short speedboat ride away, where travelers can climb the 184 steps of this historic relic in order to enjoy the scenic views from the top. Ambitious hikers may also be interested in Ta Cu Mountain, which features small paths through primeval forest and past historic pagodas on the way to the summit. A cable car also runs along the pathway for an easier way to enjoy the views.

For those interested in relaxing, Mui Ne offers quieter options as well. Guests can experience the rhythm of coastal life in the village while watching fishing boats set off on and return from daily voyages. Boats can also be hired for leisurely trips across the fresh water White Lake Bau Trang, or guest may want to enjoy the forest and mountain scenery from the shore with a picnic alongside the lake. For further relaxation, Anantara Spa offers an extensive menu inspired by lotus flowers and the nourishment of coconuts.

Additional features of the new resort include a shoreline pool, gym and reading lounge complete with books, magazines, CDs and DVDs. The 89 rooms, suites and villas reflect traditional Vietnamese style and feature views of the surrounding gardens, pool, fresh water lagoon or sea. Five restaurants and bars complete the experience, highlighting authentic Vietnamese flavors and fresh seafood, with a swim-up bar and a poolside terrace featuring live entertainment at night.
