Family Tour Offers Commission Bonus

Luxury tour boasts personalized service and cultural highlights

Greaves Tours, the leading family-owned specialists in customized luxury vacations in India, Nepal, Bhutan and the Indian Ocean, is offering travel agents a New Year commission bonus. For every booking of Greaves' new 15-day Family India package deposited by April 30, agents will be rewarded with 12 percent commission rates.

The new escorted tour combining Delhi, Jaipur, Agra and the Himalayas is aimed at intimate groups of between four to 12 guests and is ideal for multi-generational family clients. Departures this year are once a month during April to September; Nov. 26; Dec. 19; and April 8, 2009.

Highlights of the itinerary include time at India's first bear rescue sanctuary; a visit to an elephant village in Jaipur; a journey onboard the Toy Train of Shimla; afternoon tea with a local Indian family; an astronomer-guided tour of the Jantar Mantar Observatory in Jaipur; an introduction to the customs and traditions of India including henna-painting, turban and sari tying and sitar lessons; a camel ride through local villages; an exclusive Village Festival event only for guests of Greaves; changing of the guard ceremony in Delhi; UNESCO site visits to the Red Fort, Humayun's Tomb, Qutab Minar, the Taj Mahal and Fatehpur Sikri; and hiking the Wild Strawberry Trail in the Himalayas.

Accommodations include two nights at The Oberoi Amarvilas Hotel, Agra; three nights each at The Oberoi Hotel, Delhi; The Oberoi Rajvilas Hotel, Jaipur; and The Oberoi Cecil Hotel, Shimla. Two one-night stays at The Trident Gurgaon, Delhi are also included.

The tour also boasts private air-conditioned vehicles with driver for sightseeing, transfers and excursions on the itinerary; porterage at hotels, airports and train stations; and private celebratory welcome and farewell dinners at some of India's most exclusive dining establishments.

A four-day Udaipur extension at Oberoi Udaivilas includes a visit to the Puppet Museum; a sightseeing trip around Udaipur and the City Palace on Lake Pichola; plus a private car and driver for one full day. This add-on costs $1,910 per person.

The Family India tour package begins at $6,125 per person (based on minimum of four and maximum of 12 guests per tour). Prices exclude airfare.
