For travelers with a yen to see Japan, Ritz Tours is offering an eight-day Japan Experience program taking in sights from Tokyo and Mt. Fuji to Kyoto and seaside resort towns.

The tour starts in Tokyo, with outings to the Imperial Palace, the Asakusa Kannon Temple, the Tokyo Tower, and time in the Ginza district for shopping and exploring. During a full day of leisure in the city, travelers can take in art and cultural offerings, commercial shopping districts, museums, galleries and religious sites.

A motorcoach ride to Mt. Fuji offers magnificent views of the usually cloud-shrouded peak that rises high into the sky, before heading to Lake Ashi for a cruise and a night in Hakone, known as a weekend retreat for locals looking to pamper the soul and spirit with mineral baths.

The next day begins in Atami meaning “hot sea” one of Japan’s most popular seaside resort towns. From there, travelers head to Kyoto, Japan’s sixth-largest city and a cradle of culture with ornate temples and shrines where sightseeing includes Kyomizu Temple (offering views of the city and valley below), the Kinkakuji Temple and the Heian Shrine.

The tour concludes with a motorcoach ride to Osaka, where travelers board their homebound international flights.

Priced from $2,099 plus taxes per person, double, the tour includes roundtrip airfare from Los Angeles or San Francisco, airfare between cities visited in Asia, accommodations in five-star hotels (the Akasaka Prince Hotel in Tokyo, the Kowaki-en Hotel in Hakone and the New Miyako Hotel in Kyoto), sightseeing in air-conditioned motor coaches, guides, meals and entertainment per the itinerary.

Departure dates are available April 12 through Oct. 25.
