The Peninsula Hotels has announced a comprehensive
spa program highlighted by the upcoming launch of new spas at The
Peninsula Hong Kong and The Peninsula Bangkok.
Working with international spa consultancy ESPA,
headed by Susan Harmsworth, The Peninsula spas will include
treatments drawing on Eastern and Western wellness and relaxation
philosophies, emphasizing a back-to-basics approach with authentic
treatments delivered by trained therapists.
The first Peninsula spa by ESPA will debut at The
Peninsula Hong Kong in May. The 11,000-square-foot spa will be
built on two floors of the hotels’ tower and will offer sweeping
views of Victoria Harbour.
The spa will feature 14 treatment rooms, including
four rooms with floor-to-ceiling harbor views, two
spas-within-a-spa private suites for VIPs or couples, domed
hamman-style steam rooms, saunas overlooking the harbor,
tea lounge and relaxation rooms.
In December, The Peninsula Bangkok will unveil a
full-service resort spa built amid the lush gardens in a
three-story Thai colonial-style building overlooking the Chao Praya
River. The spa will feature 18 treatment rooms, including two
“personal spa” VIP suites with river views and kang beds
for lounging, two rooms with private gardens, four couples’ rooms
with vitality pools and balconies overlooking the river, a tea
lounge and relaxation rooms with river views.
Next year, The Peninsula will open its brand-new
Peninsula Tokyo, overlooking the gardens of the Imperial Palace.
Offering the largest hotel rooms in the city, the hotel will also
feature an extensive Asian spa when it opens in September.
