Taking aim at luxury Asia Pacific travel, Pacific Delight World Tours has launched a 16-day, all-inclusive Vietnam, Cambodia and Bangkok Gold Vistas package and has partnered with Victoria Cruises for a 19-day Majestic China & Yangtze River Gold Experience.

The China & Yangtze experience incorporates a cruise between Yichang and Chonqing, plus land stays in Beijing, Shanghai, Xian, Guilin and Hong Kong. The 19-day cruise includes roundtrip air from Los Angeles, intra-China air/land transportation, professional tour directors, and five-star hotels for 13 nights.

Accommodations include three nights at the Grand Hyatt Beijing at Oriental Plaza, three nights at the St. Regis Hotel Shanghai, two nights at the Sofitel on Renmin Square in Xian, two nights at the Sheraton Guilin Hotel and three nights in harbor view accommodations at the InterContinential Hong Kong Hotel.

The package also includes sightseeing in Beijing, Shanghai, Suzhou, Xian, Guilin and Hong Kong, and a four-night Yangtze River excursion with Victoria Cruises in a junior suite (with balcony), sailing upstream between Yichang and Chonqing.

Cruise highlights include a tour of the Three Georges Dam site and sails through Qutang, Wu and Xiling Gorges, along with 16 breakfasts, 13 lunches and 14 dinners, roundtrip transfers and baggage handling between airport and hotel

Air-inclusive prices range from $6,593-$6,903, double, with departures from Los Angeles on April 21, May 5 and 19, June 16, July 14, Aug. 11, Sept. 8, 15 and 22 and Oct. 6, 13, 20 and 27.

Meanwhile, Pacific Delight is pulling out all the stops on its Vietnam, Cambodia and Bangkok Gold Vistas package offering fully-escorted groups of 10 to 16 in-depth exploration of cultural, entertainment and local sights, and luxury accommodations.

In addition to the sights, special meals and cultural entertainment run the gamut on this “Gold” program: performances at Hanoi’s Water Puppet Theater showcasing an art form dating back to the 11th century, and a classical Thai dance performance with dinner at the renowned Sala Rim Nam restaurant, lunches of fresh seafood aboard a Chinese junk and at Lang Co, a palm-shaded beach on the South China Sea, and a dinner cruise on Bangkok’s Chao Phraya River.

Air is aboard Cathay Pacific from Los Angeles, San Francisco and New York, between April 2006 and March 2007, with packages priced $5,548 to $6,358 per person, double.
