Two of the leading Yangtze River cruise providers are offering a
variety of special winter offers, with Victoria Cruises offering
savings of more than 40 percent on some cruises and Ritz Tours
creating a special 11-day Affordable Yangtze Adventure program.
Victoria Cruises’ offerings include a Three Gorges sailing via
its four-day/three-night downstream ChongqingYichang cruise or its
five-day/four-night upstream Yichang Chongqing cruise with rates
starting at $450 per person, standard cabin. Rates include
accommodations, meals, entertainment, on-board lectures and port
taxes and are valid for departures December through mid-March.
An eight-day/seven-night Chongqing-Yichang-Chongqing cruise
starts at $800 per person, standard cabin for departures December
through mid-March and offers daily shore excursions to showcase an
in-depth Yangtze River experience. Travelers experience the Three
Gorges and Three Gorges Dam project as well as a variety of cities
along the Yangtze’s banks.
Rates are per person, based on double, and are subject to space
availability. Shore excursions cost extra ($60 per person on the
Three Gorges Highlights cruise and $175 per person on the Three
Gorges Explorer program).
Meanwhile, Ritz Tours’ new 11-day Affordable Yangtze Adventure
winter special starts at $1,299, plus taxes, per person, based on
double, and includes roundtrip airfare from Los Angeles, hotel
accommodations, sightseeing and more.
The journey begins with one night in Chongqing before embarking
on an eight-day, roundtrip Yangtze River sail with Victoria
Cruises. Upon arrival back in Chongqing following the cruise,
guests spend the day at leisure in the picturesque mountain city
known for its legendary panda zoo and savory “Hot Pot” recipe.
Departures are available December through early March.
