After extending booking deadlines to Dec. 31, Sonesta St. Maarten resorts will continue to provide the St. Maarten Stimulus airfare credit program to encourage travel to the Caribbean in 2009.

Guests who book before the Dec. 31 deadline will enjoy up to $400 in airfare credit per person for stays at Sonesta Maho Beach Resort & Casino or Sonesta Great Bay Beach Resort & Casino between Jan. 3 and April 11, 2009.

The promotion is designed to ease airfare costs for travelers looking for a cost-effective trip to the Caribbean. Offered for a variety of room categories, the special is available at double occupancy for both all-inclusive and room-only plans.

The airfare credit increases with the number nights stayed at either Sonesta Maho Beach Resort & Casino or Sonesta Great Bay Beach Resort & Casino ($200 per person on five-night stays, $300 on six-night stays and $400 on seven night-stays). Blackout dates for both resorts apply during Feb. 12-16, and March 5-9 for Sonesta Maho.

Starting rates begin at $275 per night for stays from Jan. 3 through April 11. All-inclusive rates are also available.
Sonesta Maho is located on the southwest coast of Dutch St. Marten and offers 527 guestrooms and suites, the Q-Club nightclub and Casino Royale, in addition to the Good Life Spa and fitness center.

Sonesta Great Bay overlooks the Great Bay Harbor, featuring 257 guestrooms and suites, the Golden Casino and Vitality Oasis and Spa. Both are a short drive from Princess Juliana International Airport and the capital city of Philipsburg.
