A groundbreaking ceremony took place earlier this month officially marking the start of construction on St. Kitts’ new Kittitian Hill resort, which will be managed by Sedona Resorts. Set on a 400-acre hillside near the northern tip of St. Kitts, Kittitian Hill will add more than 500 rooms to the island upon completion. Phase One of construction will include 110 one- and two-bedroom boutique hotel cottages with Caribbean sea views, 69 luxury villas, the Mango Walk 18-hole championship Ian Woosnam golf course, a golf club house, a beach club located on a nearby beach, a swimming pool and various restaurants, bars and duty-free shops.
Scheduled for completion and opening in November 2012, Phase One of the project will cost more than $200 million. Phase Two construction will commence immediately following Phase One and will include construction of the spa and spa cottages.
