Azamara Guest Satisfaction Soars With Enhancements

Butlers top score charts, achieving maximum possible ratings By: Marilyn Green

Azamara Club Cruises is reporting its highest-ever levels of guest satisfaction over the last 100 days since enhancements were made to deliver a more inclusive approach. Since the New Year, butlers onboard the two, 694-guest Azamara Club Cruises ships have undergone English butler school training, and they now top the score charts, achieving the maximum possible ratings.

“I have spent decades working in the upmarket cruise sector, and these are the finest guest-satisfaction scores that I have ever seen,” said Larry Pimentel, president and CEO.

Azamara announced its rebranding effort in December 2009 with the intention to roll out several key developments in April, including complimentary bottled water; specialty coffees and teas; all meals; room service; house wines with lunch and dinner; housekeeping and dining gratuities; shuttle bus service to and from port communities; and self-service laundry. After three months with the new features, guests are clearly enthusiastic.
