Carnival Cruise Lines will deploy the 2,758-passenger Carnival
Victory on year-round seven-day southern Caribbean departures from
San Juan beginning in November 2008.
Carnival Victory replaces the Carnival Destiny on the itinerary
and provides a newer, slightly larger ship, as well as a fresh
choice for consumers.
Carnival Victory offers a dramatic decor inspired by the world’s
great oceans and seas, designed by Carnival’s ship architect Joe
Farcus. The Seven Seas atrium spans nine decks. From the Atlantic
and Pacific dining rooms, to the South China Sea Club casino, to
the Adriatic Lounge, there are 17 different themed venues for
The ship offers high-tech features such as an Internet cafe,
Wi-Fi access and cell phone service.
The vessel also features four swimming pools one with a 214-foot
corkscrew waterslide, a 14,500-square-foot spa and gymnasium, an
onboard duty-free shopping mall and a jogging track.
Family-friendly amenities include Camp Carnival and Club 02 with
supervised activities and facilities for children and teens,
Dining options include twin two-level dining rooms with wine
lists, a 1,200-seat poolside eatery featuring a 24-hour pizzeria, a
patisserie serving specialty coffees and sweets, and complimentary
24-hour room service.
In addition, the Carnival Victory will feature Carnival’s
Seaside Theatre with an outdoor LED screen showing movies, concerts
