During the 2012 Wave Season, Carnival Cruise Lines launched its Travel Agent Rewards Program, which allows travel partners to register and redeem points for a variety of actions completed through the line’s travel agent portal, GoCCL.com, or their GDS.
Through the agent rewards program, retailers can earn and redeem points for themselves or their clients toward a variety of Carnival-branded logo items, gift cards or Apple iPads. Once enrolled in the program, agents will be able to register their point-redeeming actions and track their earnings in order to redeem points for gifts.
Agents can earn points for creating new online bookings, booking groups online, making online payments, servicing existing bookings using the online tools, completing Carnival Cruise Lines University training on GoCCL.com and attending various events including ship visits and fam trips.
Throughout the year, point-earning actions will be updated with new choices to make the program continually dynamic. The Travel Agent Rewards Program is available through GoCCL.com or directly at CarnivalAgentRewards.com.
Additional questions regarding the program may be answered by Carnival’s business development managers or the line’s trade engagement team at CCLSales@Carnival.com.
Carnival also has revamped its website for meeting, corporate event and incentive planners, CarnivalMeetings.com.
“Today, more than ever, meeting, event and incentive planners are being challenged to find the best possible value for their clients and often have shorter lead times in which to do so,” said Joni Rein, vice president of worldwide sales for Carnival.
New features include detailed information about the fleet and product offerings such as accommodations, dining, activities, entertainment, destinations and itineraries. There is also content dedicated to meetings and events, incentive groups, customization options, full ship charters, individual incentives and information on Carnival’s Corporate University, a series of professional enrichment seminars offered in conjunction with the line’s corporate training department. In addition, planners may complete a request for proposal directly on the site.
“The program is a true win-win for our partnership with agents, as it features tools to help us both work smarter, not harder, and at the same time adds some fun rewards into the mix,” Rein said.
