Holland America Line Launches

Feb 11, 2013

To kick off the 2013 sailing season, Holland America Line is offering special savings for consumers and sales support for travel sellers during its Sail & Save event on select cruises. The Sail & Save event features savings on multiple cruises and destinations.

Travel sellers booking a Holland America Line cruise can offer their clients savings of up to 50 percent off select cruise fares and free or reduced third and fourth fares on select voyages, as well as a free hotel stay on select Canada/New England and Alaska cruises and CruiseTour departures.

“Our goal is to always make sure that our travel partners have the best tools available to promote Holland America Line to their clients,” said Richard Meadows, executive vice president, marketing, sales and guest programs. “We encourage all of our travel partners to take advantage of this popular annual promotional to jump start their 2013 bookings.”

The event is supported with special Sail & Save consumer marketing communications including direct mail and email, as well as an array of online travel seller promotional and sales tools that are available in the Travel Agent Headquarters portal accessed via www.hollandamerica.com. These include customizable “Build Your Own” emails, personalized PDF flyers and web banner ads.

During the Sail & Save promotion travel sellers can conveniently book their clients using POLAR online, where they can make a reservation in a few easy steps, including booking and managing groups.

Cruise destinations featured in the Sail & Save sale include Alaska cruises and CruiseTours, Asia, Australia/New Zealand, Canada/New England, Caribbean, Europe, Grand Voyages, Hawaii/Tahiti, Mexico, Panama Canal and South America itineraries.

With savings up to 50 percent off select cruise fares, the Sail & Save promotion makes cruising an affordable vacation option for a larger traveling audience, especially for multi-generational family groups.

Travel sellers looking to take advantage by selling family-friendly vacations can book a seven-day cruise to Alaska, the Caribbean or Canada/New England under the free or reduced third and fourth fares promotion. These idyllic regions offer exciting experiences for the whole family with a variety of shore excursion adventures and cultural encounters.

Travel sellers with clients looking for an extended vacation beyond their Holland America Line cruise can promote the free hotel stay on Canada/New England and Alaska and Alaska CruiseTour itineraries. By adding extra days on land, travelers will have more time to explore these regions known for history and wilderness.

For more information on the promotions, or to access the online sales tools, visit the Travel Agent Headquarters portal accessed via www.hollandamerica.com or call 1-877-SAIL-HAL (1-877-724-5425).
