The oceangoing cruise-ship lineup for 2010 features a very broad size range and a number of sisterships to very well-received vessels.

American Cruise Line

Independence (101 passengers), June
• flat-screen satellite televisions and DVD players, individual climate control, wireless Internet access
• 80 percent of staterooms have private balconies.
• Chesapeake Bay, New England, Hudson River and Historic South

Celebrity Cruises

Celebrity Eclipse (2,850 passengers), April
• Sister ship to the Solstice with a few onboard tweaks for the British market
• Placed in the UK market, offers short cruises to Cork in the spring followed by 11- to 16-night cruises during the rest of the European season

Costa Cruises

Deliziosa (2,260 passengers), February
• Sister ship to last year’s Costa Luminosa, a smaller vessel than recent Costa ships
• Costa’s Samsara Spa with adjacent spa accommodations.
• Cruising out of Dubai through early May, then Mediterranean, Northern Europe and the British Isles

Cunard Line

Queen Elizabeth (2,092 passengers), October
• Sister ship to Queen Victoria with art-deco style
• Glass roof covers the games deck (with its sporting pursuits inspired by those from the 30s, including bowls, croquet and paddle tennis)
• Mediterranean, World Cruise

Holland America Line

Nieuw Amsterdam (2,100 passengers), July
• Sister ship to the Eurodam with a New York City themed decor
• 12-night Eastern Mediterranean cruises roundtrip from Venice or between Barcelona and Venice

MSC Cruises

MSC Magnifica (2,550 passengers), March
• Fourth Musica-class ship (MSC Musica, MSC Orchestra and MSC Poesia)
• New feature: Retractable roof over the midship pool
• Seven-night Mediterranean

Norwegian Cruise Line

Epic (4,200 passengers), June
• New curved New Wave staterooms and Studios designed especially for singles
• Partnership with Nickelodeon, entertainment from Blue Man Group and Cirque Dreams and Dinner
• 20 dining choices and 20 bars and lounges, including the first ice bar at sea
• Seven-night Eastern and Western Caribbean cruises, Mediterranean

Royal Caribbean International

Allure of the Seas (5,400 passengers), December
• Sister ship of Oasis of the Seas
• Central Park, a living park at sea, features more than 12,000 plants and 56 trees
• Seven-night Eastern and Western Caribbean cruises

Yachts of Seabourn

Seabourn Sojourn (450 passengers), June
• Sister ship to last year’s Seabourn Odyssey
• At 11,400 square feet, it will house the largest spa on any luxury ship with indoor and outdoor treatment rooms
• Sailing UK, Northern Europe
