Princess Puts New Ship in AK

Inside Passage itinerary will call at Victoria or Vancouver, Ketchikan or Sitka, Skagway and Juneau

Princess Cruises’ new Pacific Princess, one of two former Renaissance Cruises vessels, will sail in Alaska next summer for a series of 10, 11-day roundtrip sailings from San Francisco.

The 688-passenger vessel, built in 1999, will offer the sailings from May 29 to Sept. 5. Its Inside Passage itinerary will call at Victoria or Vancouver, Ketchikan or Sitka, Skagway and Juneau.

The Pacific Princess will be operating on a split deployment, sailing half the year as part of the Princess Cruises fleet and the other half for the P&O Cruises Australia brand during its summer cruise season. Following the 2003 Alaska season, the ship will return to Tahiti to join its sister ship, the Tahitian Princess.
