Set oceanfront overlooking Kailua Bay in the heart of Kailua-Kona,
the full-service Royal Kona Resort features 436 guestrooms.
Standard amenities in all rooms include irons and ironing boards,
hair dryers, refrigerators, in-room safes, high-speed Internet
access and coffee makers with complimentary coffee and tea. After a
multi-million dollar renovation, guests can enjoy spacious newly
renovated rooms in the Alii and Lagoon Towers featuring new granite
countertops, expanded marble showers with new fixtures, new tile
flooring and carpeting throughout, plush king or double beds, and
state-of-the-art electronic door locks and in-room safes. The
Resort also offers a private saltwater swimming lagoon and beach
area, an oceanfront swimming pool, shops, four tennis courts, a
Lotus Massage and Spa Center, meeting facilities and wedding
services. The Resort provides convenient access to shopping,
dining, entertainment and attractions in nearby Kailua-Kona Town.
As part of the renovation project, Don the Beachcomber signature
restaurant received a new look this past year including new decor,
carpeting and furniture; a new protected seating area on the
balcony and a new exhibition show kitchen. The open-air
restaurant’s chic, retro-tiki style décor is reminiscent of
traditional Polynesian restaurants of the past and its prime
oceanfront setting right on the water’s edge provides diners with
spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean.
