Travelers get even more benefits with Cunard’s loyalty program

By: Marissa Tinloy

The Cunard World Club has revised its benefit program to tailor and reward the traveling patterns of its loyal guests. With a range of new benefits and tiers, the program enhancements include the addition of a new Diamond-member level and allowing the number of days, as well as the number of completed voyages, to calculate into achieving higher tier levels.

“When it comes to acknowledging our guests’ dedication and passion for Cunard, we seek to be the best in class and these enhancements reflect the V.I.P. services and experiences that our loyal guests find most valuable,” said Carol Marlow, Cunard’s president and managing director.

With these changes, Cunard World Club now has four tier levels: Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond. A guest’s tier level is determined by the number of days or voyages at sea and increases with additional travel. Each tier has different rewards.

For example, the World Club Silver guests, travelers who have completed one voyage, receive a tiered key card, onboard welcome-back letter, World Club member savings, access to a dedicated World Club Desk (both shore-side and onboard), quarterly Cundarder Magazine and access to the members’ section at

The next level, the World Club Gold level, is for guests who have traveled on three to seven voyages, or 20 to 69 days at sea, according to the new calculations. These guests receive a World Club Gold pin, invitation to the Members’ Cocktail Party, credit toward a complimentary internet package (valued at $50) and preferred reservations in Todd English.

For guests on their eighth through fifteenth voyages, or 71st to 149th day at sea, these Platinum members receive all of the Gold member benefits, in addition to a World Club Platinum pin, a larger internet package (valued at $90), discounts on dry cleaning, laundry services and White Star luggage service and priority check-in and disembarkation. Onboard, Platinum level members receive exclusive invitations to a complimentary wine tasting and the Senior Officers’ Party.

Under the new tier structure, the most loyal guests at the pinnacle of the World Club Program are the Diamond-level Cunarders. These devoted travelers have completed at least fifteen voyages or 150 days at sea and receive a plethora of benefits. In addition to all of the Platinum benefits, Diamond members receive a World Club Diamond-level pin, an even larger complimentary internet package (at a value of $170), a Diamond Member contact at the Shoreside World Club Desk, priority luggage delivery and priority reservations with the voyage sales specialists.
