Abercrombie & Kent — a trusted tour operator with 20 years of experience and six offices in Europe — is offering clients an insider’s view of Europe with a number of new 2011 tours. With its Discovery Series of Escorted Journeys, clients can immerse themselves in Spanish culture, from watching a dramatic flamenco performance to sampling the region’s sherry at a local bodega, as well as learn about folk music and traditions in Lisbon, Portugal. The new 2011 tour, From Flamenco to Fado, is 11 days in length and is priced from $5,945 per person.
The 10-day Italian Treasures tour is ideal for the first-time visitor. Guests will lunch al fresco at a sidewalk trattoria, stroll through the Vatican, ride a gondola through the Venice canals and enjoy free time exploring Florence’s narrow streets and Renaissance architecture. The tour begins at $5,715 per person and, like the Flamenco to Fado tour, it includes accommodations at five-star or the best available hotels and the services of an expert tour director.
Ideal for two to four clients, the Signature Series of tours offers two new recommended itineraries with the services of a local guide and chauffeur in a private vehicle. The eight-day Signature London & Paris tour includes the Tower of London and Trafalgar Square in London and Paris’ Arc de Triomphe and the Louvre. Clients also have a choice of visiting Windsor Castle or Hampton Court Palace. Prices from $7,165.
Highlights of the eight-day Signature France itinerary, priced from $6,300, include visits to Versailles’ Hall of Mirrors, Claude Monet’s country home, the landing beaches of Normandy and more.
In addition to the aforementioned packages, the tour operator is offering new Eastern Europe, Italy and Iceland customized itineraries for 2011.
