Set within Amsterdam’s central canal ring and shopping district, The Dylan Amsterdam offers a prime location for visitors looking to commemorate the 400-year anniversary of Amsterdam’s canals. To celebrate, the property is offering a Winter in Amsterdam package, which includes accommodations for two nights in one of 40 luxury rooms, a glass of warm and spicy gluhwein upon arrival, daily buffet breakfast and lunch for two in the hotel’s new Brasserie OCCO.

Adding to its traditional hotel services, the package provides ice skates for guests to use in the Museum Square Ice Rink or, when weather permits, on the celebrated canals themselves. Guests also receive an Amsterdam City Pass for two, allowing free public transportation and free admission into some of the Dutch capital’s premier museums, including the canal museum House on Three Canals, the newly reopened Stedelijk and the Hermitage, which is currently hosting Amsterdam’s collection of Van Gogh’s work while the Van Gogh Museum is temporarily closed.

The package starts at $1,005, based on double occupancy, and will be available from Dec. 1 through Feb. 3, 2013. Guests can prolong their stay for $380 per night.

The Amsterdam Light Festival runs from Dec. 7 through Jan. 20, 2013.
