Lufthansa has announced that it will equip its entire long-haul fleet with the option for Premium Economy seating. This substantially upgraded economy product aims to fill the gap between the Business Class segment - which features flat-bed seating - and the Economy Class segment.
Lufthansa expects that the new option will have appeal for both leisure and business travelers who seek additional comfort. The launch date for the new Premium Economy Class seating is yet to come; beginning this month, a project group will define the precise features of the product as well as a detailed timetable.
