Parenting isn’t easy, but parenting while on vacation at a Ritz-Carlton property can at least be simple. The key: Inspire clients to upgrade their stay with access to the Club Lounge, available at most brand properties around the world.
Each one a uniquely designed, living-room-like setting, Club Lounges offer five food and beverage presentations daily — hot buffet breakfast, light lunch and post-dinner desserts and cordials among them — plus the esteemed service of top concierges.
To ensure that guests are comfortable, a limited number of travelers can book lounge access on a given day, allowing staff to provide personalized service. My 3-year-old daughter was as charmed as I was during a recent lounge experience at The Ritz-Carlton, Rancho Mirage in Rancho Mirage, Calif. In addition to enjoying the delicious fare, she warmed up to one concierge in particular, calling her by name each time we entered and running into her arms for a hug.
Of course, mom got something out of the lounge, too — and not just chorizo breakfast burritos, asparagus soup and first-rate childcare help. I had the paradoxical pleasure of dining with my child in a luxurious space without stress. Though the lounge is touted as a hotel within a hotel, I can attest that it feels far more like a home.
