Thanks to a fall incentive program, travel agents can earn gratitude from their clients and gifts for themselves when recommending Waikiki accommodations in Outrigger’s Condominium Collection.

For the clients, the decision to stay in an Outrigger condo results in many of the same comforts and amenities they would enjoy at home. For the agents providing they are certified Outrigger Specialists it means a $50 bonus for a minimum five-night booking. This is an increase from the normal $25 booking bonus specialists receive for every five-night stay.

This new initiative is valid for travel through Dec. 21. On Oahu, the fall bonus applies to reservations made at three condominium properties: Outrigger Waikiki Shore, Outrigger Luana Waikiki and Outrigger Regency on Beachwalk.

“This is a great program because everyone wins,” said Tim Alex, director of sales and marketing for Outrigger’s Condominium Collection. “Our Outrigger Specialists get $50 to spend any way they want and their clients have the pleasure of experiencing one of Outrigger’s superior Condominium Collection properties in Hawaii.” One of the most obvious benefits of staying at a condo is that most units have a fully equipped kitchen. Visitors can stock up on fresh produce and fish from local stands or markets, then cook meals that allow them to experience Hawaii’s unique flavors without going to a restaurant. They can use the money they save on food for sightseeing, activities, shopping and souvenirs. Kitchens also make it possible for clients to keep snacks and drinks on hand, store leftovers and enjoy breakfast in their pajamas.

Extended families and friends who travel together often prefer the extra space of a condominium. Rather than reserving separate rooms, everyone can stay together in one large two-or three-bedroom unit. After a home-cooked meal as a group, the clan can relax in the living areas, have cocktails on the lanai and let the kids sleep in their own room with the door closed if the adults want to stay up.

Choosing a condominium translates into lighter suit-cases as well. Most units feature washers and dryers or on-site laundry facilities.

For clients interested in venturing to an outer island, the limited-time condominium booking bonus applies to properties on Maui, Kauai and the Big Island. Statewide, Outrigger’s Condominium Collection primarily consists of premium low-rise beachfront properties with fully furnished studios and one, two and three-bedroom units. Clients can choose to stay at a condo located within a well-known resort or try a property in a more out-of-the-way setting.

The fall booking bonus may be combined with other special offers. It’s valid for GDS and tour operator bookings, and it’s good on trips made through travel Web sites, e-mail and over the phone. Not applicable on non-commissionable rate bookings and group bookings of 10 or more.

Travel agents can sign up for the free Outrigger Specialist Program by taking an online course and exam. Once certified, they immediately begin to receive exclusive benefits for themselves and their clients, earning rewards while simultaneously gaining valuable information on Outrigger’s properties and special offers.
