With its award-winning fairways and spectacular scenery, Kauai scores high with avid golfers. For duffers who just can’t get enough, one of the island’s most impressive greens — Princeville Resort’s acclaimed Makai Golf Club on the north shore — recently teed off with a new stay-and-play initiative.
Appropriately named Limitless Golf, the new package comes with accommodations at the luxurious St. Regis Princeville Resort and as many Makai Course holes as clients can play from the time they check in at the hotel until the time they check out.
Also included are a sleeve of Makai logo Callaway Hex Black Tour balls, a custom St. Regis/Makai Course logo ball marker and a 15 percent discount at the Makai golf shop, named one of America’s 100 best golf shops in 2011 by Golf World magazine.
Rates for the Limitless Golf package vary depending on the choice of room category, starting at $735 per night for two golfers in a garden/mountain view accommodation. A minimum two-night stay is required, and reservations must be made at least three days in advance for the package as well as tee times.
Fresh from a 14-month renovation, the 18-hole Makai Course was designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr. It recently earned honors as one of the top five public courses in Hawaii by Golf magazine.
The Makai Golf Club at Princeville also features the nine-hole Woods Course, which winds through native forests against a backdrop of mountain views.
