Legends in Concert

Waikiki visitors can catch the likes of Elvis, Madonna, Prince and an array of other world-famous stars performing live on stage thanks to the launch of Legends in Concert, a celebrity impersonator show that’s returning to the Royal Hawaiian Center starting Dec. 8. Waikiki’s previous Legends in Concert show, patterned after the hit Las Vegas production, closed in 1999.

The new show makes its debut in the Royal Hawaiian Center’s 700-seat showroom, which was extensively renovated in 2008 and is currently undergoing further modifications prior to the opening date.

“We are thrilled to be opening in a fabulous theater in one of the world’s most popular vacation destinations,” said Brian Brigner, chief operating officer of On Stage Entertainment of Las Vegas, which owns and operates the show. “Legends in Concert is energizing, crowd-pleasing entertainment — a truly memorable and fun night out. We are confident of bringing to Waikiki a new level of cosmopolitan and entertaining nightlife that enjoys a track record of close to three decades of success.”

The fast-paced hour-long concert production has signed a long-term multi-year agreement with the Royal Hawaiian Center. It will run six nights per week, year-round. During the show, talented artists impersonate such legendary superstars as Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson, Lady Gaga, Britney Spears, Rod Stewart, Madonna and Prince, enhanced by a live band and dancers.

For the Waikiki show, On Stage Entertainment is partnering with long-time Hawaii cruise and transportation operator Star of Honolulu Cruises and Events, which has provided activities to millions of island visitors since 1957.

Legends in Concert debuted in Las Vegas nearly 30 years ago. It continues to play to full houses nightly in Las Vegas, at multiple venues around the country and on international cruise ships.

The show has earned numerous entertainment industry awards including Show of the Year, Entertainers of the Year, Grand Slam and the prestigious Show of Shows, awarded by the International Press Association.

Ticket information, prices and additional details about the new Legends in Concert production will be released in the coming weeks.
