The 387-room JW Marriott Ihilani Resort and Spa has won the prestigious Gold Key Award for the second straight year. Meetings & Conventions, a national meetings trade publication, will recognize the Marriott property at a New York City awards banquet in November. The resort will also be featured in the November issue of the magazine.

“We are honored by this recognition by readers of Meetings & Conventions magazine,” said Chris Tatum, the hotel’s general manager. “And to be awarded the Gold Key distinction as a premier meetings destination for corporate meetings and incentive groups definitely positions JW Marriott Ihilani Resort and Spa as an ideal meeting venue.”

This year, Meetings & Conventions readers named 190 domestic and 20 international hotels and resorts as Gold Key winners. The 521-room Wailea Marriott Resort was also a recipient.

Comprised of meeting planners, influential decision-makers and corporate executives, the publication’s readers selected their winning properties based on strict industry criteria, including staff attitude, quality of meeting rooms and guest services, food and beverage service, proficiency at handling reservations, availability of technical/support equipment and range of recreational facilities.

Part of the 640-acre Ko Olina Resort & Marina, the award-winning Ihilani also features professional tennis courts, 18 holes of championship play at Ko Olina Golf Club, a 35,000-square-foot world-class spa and the 18,318-square-foot Pavilion at Ihilani meeting facility.
