Outrigger Hotels & Resorts’ $50 Condo Booking Bonus, which puts
cash into the hands of travel agents, has been extended through
Paid on top of Outrigger’s normal travel agent commission, the
bonus is valid for every realized booking of five nights or longer
for stays through Dec. 21, 2005, at any of the 11 Outrigger
Condominium Collection properties. Certain blackout dates may
“This is a great program because everyone wins,” said Tim Alex,
director of sales and marketing for Outrigger’s Condominium
Collection. “Travel agents get $50 to spend any way they want and
their clients have the pleasure of experiencing one of Outrigger’s
superior Condominium Collection properties in Hawaii.”
The Condominium Collection
Alex remarked that 2004 bookings have been strong for the
Condominium Collection, which includes an inventory of properties
on Oahu, Kauai, Maui and the Island of Hawaii.
“This year has been very good to us,” he said. “Occupancy during
the first half of the year at all 11 of our resort condominiums was
higher than last year. The third quarter, which traditionally sees
a decline in occupancies, was very robust, and we expect the trend
to continue for the remainder of 2004.”
The home away from home concept is supported with “Outrigger’s
island-style hospitality that we strive to extend to each and every
one of our guests,” Alex said. “What sets our collection apart from
condos offered by other companies is that Outrigger features 11
consistently high-quality resort condominiums in the best resort
There are two Outrigger beachfront condo resorts on Kauai. The
Outrigger Kiahuna Plantation is located on Poipu Beach, ranked by
Conde Nast Traveler as one of the top 10 beaches in the world. Near
the town of Kapaa, The Outrigger at Lae nani rests only steps from
the protected golden sands of Lae nani Beach.
“These two have experienced the highest occupancies in the
collection, especially during the summer months when it’s common
for both to be sold out,” Alex pointed out.
He added that the Outrigger Kiahuna Plantation is his personal
favorite because of its tropical setting right on Poipu Beach.
“It’s a great place to escape the day-to-day,” he said. “And
unlike many condo resorts, this property offers amenities more
traditionally found at full-service hotels.”
On Maui, Outrigger presents Outrigger Palms at Wailea, Outrigger
Maui Eldorado in Kaanapali Resort, Outrigger Royal Kahana and
Outrigger Napili Shores.
The Island of Hawaii is home to the Kona area’s Outrigger Royal
Sea Cliff and Outrigger Kanaloa at Kona, as well as Outrigger
Fairway Villas within the Waikoloa Resort.
On Oahu, Outrigger’s two properties are Outrigger Waikiki Shore
and Outrigger Luana Waikiki. Both are bordered by Fort DeRussy
Outrigger plans call for additional growth in the upscale resort
“Our two newest properties Outrigger Luana Waikiki and Outrigger
Fairway Villas are good examples of this upscale direction,” said
Alex. “We also plan to expand the Collection to include three new
high-end luxury resort condominiums on the islands of Maui, Kauai
