Outrigger Reef on the Beach and Outrigger Waikiki on the Beach have unveiled a new catering option featuring Pacific Rim cuisine crafted by award-winning local chef Chai Chaowasaree.

The menu brings local favorites from the chef’s two restaurants — Chai’s Island Bistro and Singha Thai Cuisine — to corporate meetings and social functions held at the hotels’ various group venues.

“As a chef, I communicate hospitality through food, so I’m especially looking forward to catering at Outrigger Reef and Outrigger Waikiki, because I know that their teams are equally dedicated to providing excellent service with aloha to all of their guests,” said Chaowasaree. “We prepare and assemble all of our menu items on the spot, so patrons are guaranteed unique island flavors and ultimate freshness.”

Focusing on local products like island fish and organic local produce, Chaowasaree and his team offer a variety of menus from light fare to five-course dinners. Examples of his dishes include braised boneless beef short-ribs with Hawaiian taro and kabocha pumpkin; grilled Atlantic king salmon with truffle Madeira sauce; Thai curry puffs with fresh mango salsa; and wontons with sun-dried tomatoes and Puna goat cheese.
