OutriggerHawaii.com, a Web site launched by Outrigger Enterprises Group in July, is quickly becoming a growing resource for visitors to Hawaii. The Web site offers insider knowledge and tips on Hawaii’s culture, local hotspots and activities and also recently expanded to include a news section, video podcasts, a real-time blog and a state-wide events calendar.

“We have received a great deal of positive feedback from guests and visitors who find OutriggerHawaii.com a very useful resource,” said Rob Solomon, chief marketing officer for Outrigger Enterprises Group. “We continue to expand the site’s content to encourage people to come back and enjoy its offerings.”

This site also gives agents an opportunity to help clients plan and book a Hawaii Vacation at any one of Outrigger’s properties, including Outrigger Hotels & Resorts, Ohana Hotels & Resorts, Outrigger Condominium Collection, The Wyland Waikiki, Embassy Suites, Waikiki Beach Walk, Keauhou Beach Resort and the Ala Moana Hotel.

The real-time Web blog featured on the site is written by the Web site’s editor, Kim Steutermann Rogers, and covers a wide range of topics and issues relevant to Hawaii. As a Kauai resident, Rogers combines her deep understanding of Hawaii with her journalism experience.

“OutriggerHawaii.com invites visitors to experience the sights, sounds and people of the islands — in a virtual atmosphere,” Solomon said. “It also helps them to identify the perfect accommodations and activities based on their interests and needs.”

Clients interested in surfing may look into the site’s new “Learn to Surf” video in which surf instructor Mike Kaihe teaches beginners how to catch a wave. The site also provides surfers with information on the best surf spots, local surfboard shapers and stories from local surfers.

Through the end of the year OutriggerHawaii.com will also feature stories that celebrate the International Year of the Reef with content that highlights reef voluntourism opportunities, protection and conservation tips and statewide programs and events.
