Koloa Landing at Poipu Beach has introduced another upscale amenity for its guests with the recent debut of the Spa at Koloa Landing on Kauai. The new spa showcases oils and lotions created by Malie Organics, a Hawaii-based brand that uses local fruits and flowers in its products.
The spa treatments draw from ancient Hawaiian healing techniques such as lomi lomi massage and the pohaku warm stone ritual. Other island-inspired treatments include the “alaea” sea salt glow and Hawaiian sugar polish.
The spa consists of a reception area with retail space, locker rooms and the only “ofuro” (Japanese soaking tub) on Kauai. Its treatment rooms include two that are designed for couples, each with its own private outdoor lanai and shower for two.
Located on Kauai’s sunny southern coast, Koloa Landing features one-, two-, three- and four-bedroom villas with all the trimmings. Units come with perks such as gourmet kitchens, in-suite laundry, semi-private elevators and LCD televisions.
Travelers interested in trying out the spa can book one of several packages that combine accommodations and treatments, such as the resort’s Luxury Spa Getaway package, which provides them with a $200 spa credit.
Other options include the Romantic Spa Getaway option, which comes with chilled champagne upon arrival at the villa, side-by-side massages and time to unwind together in the ofuro. Koloa Landing’s Bridal Spa Getaway package combines villa accommodations for up to eight bridal party members, a massage and facial for the bride and bottomless mimosas for the entire group.
