Four Seasons Resorts Lanai is enhancing the island’s golf experience with several upgrades. Lanai is known for its coastal Manele Bay golf course and upcountry Koele course, and Four Seasons recently assumed management of the two courses, making it the first Hawaii property in the chain to oversee golf operations in-house.

The Koele course closed in early January 2014 for renovations spearheaded by pro player Jack Nicklaus. When it reopens in December, course players will be greeted with new turf, new sand in the bunkers, new irrigation and improved routing.

Four Seasons has also unveiled a cliffside clubhouse restaurant called Views, which offers ocean vistas and serves island-inspired menu items. It is open for lunch and happy hour,

Four Seasons also named Scott Ashworth as its new golf director. Ashworth is a 25-year industry veteran.
