Romance at St. Regis Punta Mita

When people think about romance, they might imagine a luxurious, candlelit dinner along the oceanfront, or having someone cater to their every need while they lounge on a practically deserted stretch of pristine beach. Too good to be true? Not at the St. Regis Punta Mita.

Punta Mita, Mexico, is located about 25 miles north of the Puerto Vallarta airport. Thanks to its location away from the activity of town, the Punta Mita development that includes the St. Regis feels secluded and tucked away — the kind of spot that’s ideal for a romantic tryst.

The resort accommodations themselves ooze romance. Many guestrooms feature decadent amenities such as ocean-view verandas, private outdoor showers and huge soaking bathtubs. Guests can also have the use of their own butler on call, and the rest of the resort staff is amazing as well.

“With its worldly cuisine, enchanting architecture, legendary service and distinctive amenities, this grand resort exceeds romantic expectations as a venue,” said Carl Emberson, general manager of the resort. “Couples can take advantage of the resort’s captivating beachfront landscape and unparalleled views in addition to the vast array of activities customized for two. The resort’s world-class staff will meet every need with flawless precision, ensuring an impeccable experience and beautiful memories for the amorous pair.”

Couples looking for the resort’s most fully encompassing experience can take advantage of the Luxury Romance Package, which begins at $495 and requires a stay of at least two nights. The package includes full breakfasts for two, a bottle of champagne, flowers in the room upon arrival and the St. Regis’ signature butler service, a favorite service among couples who stay at the resort, according to Emberson.

Individual services from the St. Regis are also available, creating customized and unique experiences for couples. The Romantic Sunset Dinner option, for example, offers an intimate three-course plated dinner on the beach with champagne, torches and flowers. Special extras can even be added to the dinner, such as a guitar player and a private champagne ritual.

At the Remede Spa, couples can indulge in signature romantic treatments, or even work with the spa to customize other experiences they wish to enjoy together. Guests can create a private sanctuary by booking a couples’ massage, which can take place in a private treatment room, in a beachside cabana or as an in-room service. The Remede Spa Shared Indulgence lasts 2½ hours and includes a 60-minute customized couples’ massage and a 90-minute Punta Mita Perfection Couples Facial.

To truly celebrate special time together, couples can book the Remede Spa Luxury Suite with a private treatment room, relaxation lounge and a patio complete with a Jacuzzi. The suite can be reserved for a one-hour, half-day or full-day retreat, with added offerings including a bottle of champagne and a chef’s sampling of fruit, cheese and chocolate.

Along with these special offers, the property features myriad activities and on-property amenities for couples to enjoy during their stay. The St. Regis Punta Mita offers three infinity pools, a private beach club, a state-of-the-art fitness center, the 10,000-square-foot Remede Spa, tennis courts, two Jack Nicklaus Signature courses and exceptional on-site dining options.

Couples even have access to the Signature St. Regis Yacht, a 70-foot luxury motor yacht that provides a comfortable and stylish atmosphere complete with five-star service at sea, courtesy of a professional crew and a private chef.

“The St. Regis Punta Mita Resort is an address like no other,” said Emberson, “tempting discerning travelers looking for a romantic, honeymoon destination with its signature blend of distinctive accommodations, worldly dining and exemplary services and amenities in a magical setting where exceptional and touching moments are guaranteed.”
