Angelic Addition

San Angel offers another romantic spot

Hacienda San Angel in Puerto Vallarta, named one of Travel + Leisure’s 50 Romantic Escapes, recently completed construction on its fourth villa.

Casa Luna boasts four suites, an indoor/outdoor dining room, kitchen, pool and terrace. Incorporating the same Colonial look in the other villas Casa Bursus, Casa La Joya, Casa San Angel and Las Campanas the private Casa Luna offers a white palette of textiles and minimalist flair.

“When the adjacent home became available, it was the perfect opportunity to create an even more spacious hideaway,” said owner Janice Chatterton.

Adorned with turn-of-the-century furnishings from Mexico and Europe including paintings, accents and furniture accommodations offer clients secret patios and private nooks. Some suites offer terraces with ocean and city views.

Located above the city’s narrow cobblestone streets, the resort surrounds visitors with gardens and a central terra-cotta-paved courtyard with a fountain. Other creature comforts include high-speed Internet connections, complimentary phone calls to the U.S., a DVD/CD player in each suite, all-natural bath amenities and complimentary continental breakfasts.

Rates start at $250 per night. Casa Luna’s suite rates range from $325-$475 per night. Travel agent commission is 10 percent.
