With the launch of the five-star BlueBay Grand Esmeralda on the Mayan Riviera and the golf property BlueBay Villas Doradas in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic, the new collection of BlueBay Hotels & Resorts has officially been launched.

The new brand consists of four- and five-star affordable luxury all-inclusive beach resorts with properties in Mexico and the Caribbean.

“The launch of this new BlueBay Resorts brand represents one of the most important investments in the Caribbean hospitality industry made by a Spanish company,” said Antonio Gelabert, commercial director, BlueBay Hotels & Resorts. “We strive to offer a superior product, meeting the needs of discerning vacations and meetings and conventions groups. Our objective is to offer one of the best four- and five-star all-inclusive hospitality products in Mexico and the Caribbean.”

The newly opened BlueBay Grand Esmeralda is the brand’s flagship property, and occupies 180 acres of beachfront space. Formerly the Grand Gala Esmeralda Resort, it was purchased by BlueBay Hotels & Resorts and underwent extensive renovations to now offer 291 rooms and suites, including a Presidential suite. Grand Esmeralda has also opened a fully equipped spa that offers a hydrotherapy circuit; a 6,000-square-foot meeting and convention facility; and an auditorium with entertainment activities that can accommodate up to 600 guests.

The property is also undergoing an expansion set for completion this month, which will bring the total number of rooms to 984.

The goal of the new brand is “to redefine the all-inclusive concept with warm, inviting and fashionable surroundings, tantalizing tastes of contemporary international cuisine, a wide selection of sports activities and unparalleled service, all designed for those who are looking to enjoy a relaxing vacation in an environment of casual luxury.”

Other properties are also in the works.
