When it’s time to tee off south of the border, Mexico Boutique Hotels tempts golfers with a selection of new packages that pamper in premier destinations. The company’s diverse collection of 40 intimate hotels are situated in over 20 destinations from the colonial heartland to hidden beaches.

“Mexico Boutique Hotels is the only collection of its kind that groups small independent properties under a qualification system that carefully scrutinizes service, decor and overall experience,” explains Sylvie Laitre, Director. “Packages at these hotels are equally personalized and allow travelers to not only enjoy their favorite activity but enjoy wonderful surroundings and accommodations while they do so.”

Tucked away in a palm grove on the edge of an unspoiled cove, the exclusive El Careyes hideaway features spacious rooms built in a pueblo-style horseshoe around an immense oasis pool surrounded by luxuriant gardens.

While the Pacific Coast beach is ideal for water sports, the main draw for golfers is the El Tamarindo Golf Course. Set on a 2,040-acre nature preserve, this unique par 72 beauty was designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. in conjunction with David Fleming.

The property’s Golf Package includes a welcome cocktail, full breakfast daily, tennis court use, one round of golf daily with cart, driving range use and round-trip transports to the course.

Through April 17, the nightly rate for a single golfer is $665, while the two-golfer rate is $855. In a one-bedroom suite, rates are $755 and $939 respectively, while oceanview suite rates are $875 and $1,055 respectively.

At Meson Dona Paz, guests enjoy special rates at the Isla Navidad 27-hole golf course. Designed by Robert Von Hagge and granted the Gold Medal by Golf Magazine, the layout features three nine-hole challenges.

Laitre describes the course as being similar to a fine work of art and a feast for the senses.

“With an unusually long ocean frontage, its design is a blend of golfing challenge and beauty,” she said. “To top it all off, the Mexico Boutique Hotel here Meson Doña Paz is actually the private mansion of the owners of this development.”

The Meson’s Golf Package includes standard accommodations with a daily American Breakfast, 18-holes of golf daily with car use from $292 for one golfer, $262 for two, and $185 for one golfer and one companion non-golfer. Nightly rates are valid through April 24.

Perched high above the colonial city of Morelia, Villa Montana is a blend of Mexican artistry and European history. The 36-suite hotel offers access to Tres Marias Golf Club, a Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course located in a large mountain valley at just over 6,400 ft. elevation.

A three-night Golf & Spa Package includes welcome cocktail and basket of fresh fruit, full breakfast daily, city tour, one green fee per room with cart use, roundtrip course transports, use of the sauna and steam room, and four spa treatments per room from $1,050 per person. Based on double occupancy, rates are valid through December 20.
